but I want to be able to use the buttons ON the scanner. If I use the scanner with Apples own 'Image capture' app everything works fine. When I press one of the 'Software buttons' in the Canon IJ Scan Utility 2, I get an error message: cannot communicate with the scanner. Everything is configured correctly in the application. When I press one of the buttons on the scanner, the Canon IJ Scan Utility 2 opens, but nothing happens. I've bought a new Canon lide 220 scanner.
